Sorry to tell your friend you couldn't read the centered bold big
charachters on top of a birth-day-cake saying: "Happy birthday man!"
just because you're using an amiga? Here's the silent answer:
Html Email viewing for Amiga
HTMail.rexx beta1.35 E-MAILWARE
Author: Emrah Baskaya <harme@turk.net>
URL: http://abone.turk.net/harme/
There you can find latest of my other scripts also, don't miss it.
requirements:
Yam 1.35 , Voyager | IBrowse | Aweb
Features:
Lets you view Html Emails!
Usage:
First view the html email in Yam window, and then execute HTMail.rexx.
The decoded files will be kept in T: directory. If you want to remove
them just run the script after viewing an ordinary mail. You will then be
asked if you want to remove them from memory. Simple.
It will be easy to execute the script everytime if you put it in Yam's
rexx menu. (Will do an auto Installing version of the script!)
Problems that will be fixed when Yam2.0 final version is released:
I hope I will get my script to fully function on YAM2.0 after its final
release, maybe even before?! YAM 2.0 preview has a great deal of enforcer
hits on my setup.
You have to first view the message on Yam 1.35 and then run the script.
This is because Yam 1.35 doesn't have arexx command to extract the
attacments. This might be possible in Yam2.0 final release.
Things that -might- happen:
Support for Microdot II , Thor. This is currently quite hard for me, I
first have to download them, and then see how they work. I grant permission
to anyone to modify my script on condition they contact me and credit my
name somewhere.
Problems that will not be fixed at all:
Unknown problems, surprise. If you see some flaws, let me know
about it.
The author's humour causes skin irritation.
Version History:
B 0.01: Tested the "say 'hello'" command to see if I remember Arexx at all.
B 0.11: Removed the harddisk format bug when the mail is not an html mail.
B 0.12: Removed the "HTML Email designing" capability. I think we're not
yet ready for that.
B 0.99: Thought it was time to be more serious.
B 1.01: Implemented correctly getting names of decoded attacments.
B 1.05: Implemented HTML rewrite.
B 1.10: Some bugs dealt with and Addressing of Voyager is tested.
B 1.11: The first html auto loading to V version.
B 1.20: Added console output to tell what its doing, to relieve the user
when processing long mails.
B 1.21: Added reqtools requesters to warn about this and that. Rexxreqtools
is found on aminet.
B1.21a: Created a readme file and removed shell output for debugging.
B1.21b: Changed the scripts name to HTMail.rexx from lame Email.rexx.
B 1.22: Added "The author's humour ....." line to the readme.
Realised I had not put "Beta" word in version number.
Accidentally sent this version to Voyager M/L. Afterwards planned
to add "Author sucks!" line to the readme, but later stepped back.
B 1.23: Multiples of times faster HTML rewrite. Just added 1 line :)
B 1.24: Found a letter missing in a port name.
B 1.25: Added support for AWeb, Ibrowse (Aweb untested, should work tho..)
B 1.26: Now uses the T: path directly,no longer assumes it "Ram:t/", arghh..
B 1.30: Renaming of Images
B 1.32: Renaming of HTML and attachments according to their mime type.
This should fix strange happenings when viewing more than 1 html
mail in one session, and the images may be viewed seperately.
B 1.35: User can remove decoded HTML Mail components when desired(see usage)
