Short: Text formatter Author: Frank Reibold Uploader: peterr stud uni-hannover de Type: text/misc Architecture: m68k-amigaos Kurz: Text-Formatierer asc2frm ======= What is asc2frm? ---------------- "asc2frm" is a text formatting package which uses a simple programming language to define the layout of a document. Duplicate blanks and duplicate blank lines are ignored. A special command is used to define an indentation of a section of text. Features -------- o sections o (numbered) titles and subtitles o numbered and bullet lists o bold, italic, underlined, and reverse text o 4 foreground and background colours o indentations o tables Lists can be nested to a maximum of 1,024 levels. Up to 1,024 sections can be definded. A table may consist of up to 1,024 columns. Output formats -------------- The output files may be in ASCII, ANSI (for printing to PRT: or displaying with MORE), or AmigaGuide format. By default, an index is created for Amiga- Guide documents. Purpose ------- "asc2frm" is of use if you want to have the same information in several document formats. Any change has only to be made once. After that, you can compile the source file to any output format you want. Without "asc2frm", you had to change each file by yourself. Probably, one would forget to change something in that case, or insert a lot of errors, etc.
