Function
--------

It makes easier to split and Join large files, by using opus directory as GUI interface to the command line version of split and join.


Why?
----

I develop the script at time when I was doing a lot ofs spit and join of large file to and from a floppy disk.  This made life a lot easier as I did not often opened a shell and type in the commands 

to to this function.
