This is an experimental German accent demonstrating some of the new
features of this version and some special phoneme combinations to overcome
the lack of the proper German CH sounds in Narrator 37.7. The name
"Berlin" is chosen to distinguish it from the authentic deutsch.accent
developed by native German speakers. It was developed from the
deutsch.accent, version 0.1 By Stefan Zeiger and the rules stated in the
Pronunciation chapter, pp 265-267, of "Der Anfang (Understanding and Using
German)" by Harold von Hofe, 1958. This accent is optimized for use with
Narrator 37.7 and requires Translator43.
Installation
Copy or move the berlin.accent file to the Locale:accents directory.
(which should also be SYS:Locale/accents directory or the
HD0:Locale/accents directory.)
