While attending the 1995 meeting of the German TeX Users Group, DANTE e.V.,
two weeks ago, I have been asked for a public version of my Amiga port of
Friedhelm Sowa's general purpose `BitMap to (Meta)Font' converter.
Allegedly, the version currently available on AmiNet causes problems.

My own Amiga port is available since August 1994 on the Amiga mailbox
maintained by DANTE e.V., but for the sake of people without modem access
to the Landshut PC, a more widespread distribution was requested.

To give all Amiga users of BM2Font the latest in software technique, I base
this AmiNet distribution on the version of October 1994 available at CTAN.
The binary included in bm2font3.lha was created with SAS/C++ 6.55 with
thanks to the Amiga group at SAS Institute for their really great work.
