WTF is aw2sv ?

aw2sv converts AIF/WAV Audio to IFF-SV/FL format.


My main motivation for writing this program was that I wanted a program
which could write "12SV", "24SV" and "32SV" for testing purposes.

Since I did not have such a program I decided to write one.

I have also implemented "32FL" and "64FL" for floating point audio, which
is exactly the same principal as the SV formats.

Hopefully this will be accepted as an offical standard within the amiga
community.


 Usage:-

 aw2sv <in_file> <out_file> [bit] [fre] [chan] [I/U/F] [F]

 I=intel, U=unsigned, F=float

 eg. aw2sv Noonan.wav Noonan.sv

If the first three optional parameters are supplied after the "<out_file>"
parameter, then the input file will be treated as RAW data.

 
aw2sv is also "PIPE:" friendly.

When writing to file from a stereo input "PIPE:" stream it is recommended
that you write to "RAM:" if possible for a significantly improved
peformance.
