The binary mkms I released ages ago does essentially the same thing
faster and better - but I just wanted something to work with ftp 
since mkms used ncftp.  This was a quick and dirty solution to the
problem and I decided that someone else might like it since it
will run on unix boxes.  

I'd be curious to know who - if anyone - is using this script or
any of my other Amiga things (BReq and mkms) - send me an e-mail
